The combination of TruSTRENGTH’s high-strength properties and a lighter weight than other steel products means your equipment can carry more payload while still withstanding the most stringent working conditions. Formability and weldability

The refined chemical composition, along with the heat-treating, quench and tempering processes used to create TruSTRENGTH, creates a steel with the ductility that is necessary for ease of formability and fabrication in the downstream manufacturing process.

Manufacturers and fabricators can use many conventional, manual or automated welding processes when working with TruSTRENGTH products due to the steel’s advanced chemical composition and mechanical properties.

TruSTRENGTH - FLAT BAR

TruSTRENGTH flat bar is a mill-rolled product with a smooth edge that helps ensure uniformity, consistency and straightness. Available in grades ranging from 80 to 150 ksi, TruSTRENGTH’s flat bar has high-strength properties at a lighter weight which translates to cost savings for manufacturers and has a straightness guarantee of 1/8" over 5' for flat bar, exceeding ASTM A6 standards for straightness. Additionally, TruSTRENGTH 100 ksi angles provide a structural product that features the same high-strength, low-weight properties as TruSTRENGTH flat bar when compared to more conventional, non-treated grades.

TruSTRENGTH - FLAT PLATE PRODUCTS

Available in a variety of grades ranging from 100 to 140 ksi, TruSTRENGTH steel plate is melted and manufactured in the U.S. and meets ASTM chemical and mechanical properties. It can be welded, is formable and ready to be fabricated. 

Our TruFLAT technology, along with other inherent TruSTRENGTH properties, ensures that our high-strength plate excels in downstream fabrication processes. Our state-of-the-art heat treating, quench and tempering process reduces and relieves the stresses induced during manufacturing, ensuring the parts remain flat when cut. With a superior surface quality, the smooth finish plate is ready for exposed or painted applications.
