Construction on the new LA Rams Stadium at Hollywood Park in Los Angeles began in 2017 and is scheduled to be completed in 2020.

Due to the scope and size of the project, designers and contractors had very specific requirements to ensure the efficient and successful completion of the construction. The contractors selected ChromX® 4100 (100 ksi grade) for use in the pilings below the stadium in a spiral confinement configuration.

By using ChromX® 4100 for confinement of the stadium pilings, the contractors were able to meet the requirements of the project by using less steel, allowing for significantly reduced rebar congestion due to ChromX® 4100's high strength properties. This allowed for easier construction with minimal issues pouring concrete into the drilled shafts for the pilings due to the lower overall congestion.

While ChromX® 4100 was selected mostly due to its high strength capabilities, ChromX® 4100 also features increased corrosion resistance, which will help to improve the service life of the stadium while minimizing repair costs.
