The Mill

CMC Steel Arkansas’ rolling mill was established in 1987 and is among the best rail mills anywhere. The 12 stand mill is the only mill in the United States that has the capability of using rail and cast billets as a raw material. We produce a wide range of “niche” products including T-Post, Bed Frame Angles, Rebar, Joist Angles, Earth Retaining Bar, along with several “specialty” sections.

The rolled product is conveyed to a 325’ long cooling bed – the longest in North America – then the product is sheared and delivered to our finishing departments where our “value added” process begins.

Our in-house Mill Services department supports the Mill by maintaining our equipment and providing services from pass design to stand set-ups along with assisting the mill during change overs.
