Our Process

Manufacturing

From the raw material yard through shipping, CMC Steel Arkansas uses innovative ideas and designs along with the very best people to maximize safety, quality, and efficiency.

CMC Steel Arkansas uses scrap rail from used rail road tracks as our main raw material. The rails are sorted, prepared and broken to specific length at our on-site Rail Break facility.

After reheating, the rails are processed into finished hot rolled sections in the in-line Rolling Mill. Finally, the rolled product is transferred to our Finishing Department for any additional processing, storage and shipment.

The CMC Steel Arkansas Production Services, Maintenance and Engineering departments round out the team, providing outstanding support for the production areas.

Throughout the process, we place safety first. We make every effort to keep our equipment maintained and our staff up-to-date on all advancements in the steel industry. It’s how we grow and succeed.
