The focus of CMC Steel Texas in this segment of the industry is on producing hot rolled bars where the customer's method of fabrication, processing and end use require and demand that specific material characteristics be met.

Steel rounds from 1/2" to 3-1/2" diameter, round cornered squares from 2-1/4" to 3" in cross-section, and customer specific sections, meeting proprietary material specifications are supplied by CMC Steel Texas for use in industries such as handtool, petrochemical, agricultural, transportation, and automotive.

Grades produced include Carbon steel from 1016 through 1070, 1117, 1137, and 1157, as well as 1541, 4047, 4130, 4140, 4145, 5160, and 8620.

All steel grades produced are Silicon killed and where applicable Vanadium is utilized as a grain refiner.
