Scrap: A Renewable Resource
| By using steel scrap, CMC Steel South Carolina is an important contributor to recycling efforts in the U.S. Various grades of scrap are transported into our yards by rail and truck. The scrap is sorted and classified so that it adheres to the strict chemical and residual requirement of the various grades produced at the mill. All of our scrap materials pass through strict radiation testing and also visual inspection by our inspectors. |
