Respect...

  1. Dignity of the Individual.
Each employee is an individual with unique qualities who must be treated with dignity and respect.
  2. Mutual Respect.
The company’s management respects the dignity, rights and privileges of its people and expects the same from them.
  3. Understanding of the Profit Motive.
All employees must know and understand that the company’s prime objective is to earn a profit from its operations and every steelmaker must contribute to that objective.
  4. Importance of the Supervisor.
CMC Steel South Carolina believes its supervisors are the key to the success of its steelmakers and is dedicated to creating an atmosphere conducive to their growth, development and recognition.

Getting Greener

CMC is at the forefront of environmentally-friendly steelmaking procedures. We are committed to using the latest technology to minimize our environmental footprint.

  • Dust, once the most voluminous by-product in the steelmaking process, has been virtually eliminated by baghouse air filtering technology.
  • Iron and other metals filtered in baghouses are recycled.
  • Water used in our steelmaking process is completely recycled, cleaned and used for landscaping our facilities.
