CMC Recycling receives Alcoa “Preferred Supplier” Award
“In 2005, Alcoa began a strategic supplier program. Each year, Alcoa recognizes their Top 10 Strategic Suppliers. The criteria necessary to be on this list includes tonnage, quality (both material quality and the accuracy of the documentation), and on-time shipments. CMC Recycling improves safety over FY 2008 performance
CMC CEO Murray McClean set a safety goal for all of CMC’s divisions. Simply put: “To be the safest company in each of our respective marketplaces”—mills, recycling, fabrication, etc. We can achieve this goal only by working together, watching out for each other, observing our Cardinal Rules of Safety, and living our safety policies each and every day.”

In FY 2009 CMC Recycling has significantly improved our safety performance -- a 56% decrease in our OSHA incident rate, and a 42% reduction in OSHA recordable accidents compared to our FY 2008 performance
