General Description
Under general supervision of the Regional Senior Accountant, responsible for all accounting and reporting functions for assigned branches.
Essential Functions
- Ensure accounting activities including, but not limited to: billing, accounts receivable, fixed assets, inventory, accounts payable, general ledger and preparation of journal entries, balance sheets and profit & loss statements are completed properly and within the parameters of the monthly closing cycle.
- Ensure that all general ledger accounts are reconciled and account analyses have been performed on a monthly basis.
- Perform all aspects of the monthly close process.
- Prepare month-end branch reporting packages.
- Assist the Regional Senior Accountant and Regional Controller in providing financial analysis and financial support to the Regional Operations Manager.
- Provide guidance to Office Managers in the Region.
- Ensure that all Regional personnel comply with Corporate & Division Policies & Procedures.
- Serve as audit liaison, assisting and responding to internal and external audit requirements.
- Perform various ad-hoc reports and analysis, as required by Division or Corporate accounting.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in business or accounting.
- Minimum of 2 years general accounting or auditing working experience.
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
- Microsoft Office Intermediate Excel and Word skills.
- Must maintain attention to detail, confidentiality, proactive attitude and professional demeanor.
