Quarterly Cash Dividend

The board of directors of CMC declared a quarterly cash dividend of twelve cents per share on common stock to shareholders of record October 2, 2009. The dividend will be paid October 16, 2009.

This is the 180th consecutive quarterly cash dividend paid by CMC.
